Christmas Cowboy
Throughout the process of editing the dialog for my first feature film, I learned invaluable techniques that I use to this day. Becoming more comfortable with Izotope’s RX had its learning curve, but understanding how to use each module effectively is well worth the time.

Sound Design Challenge
This video was handed over as a blank canvas, and I was prompted to take a crack at it. I thoroughly enjoyed designing for these sci-fi/horror adjacent visuals. After watching down a few times, I set out to create a particularly sensory experience.

Intrusive Thoughts
Sometimes a vulnerable soundscape is more of a challenge than a busy one. With no extraneous effects to hide behind, I carefully crafted the foley in this short to emphasize the characters’ actions. Sparse SFX drive the storytelling, either conveying a sense of uneasiness or fleeting hope. This project gave me the opportunity to seamlessly blend ADR and production audio.
The Third Act
As a contributor to this award-winning student film, I had the honor of editing dialogue and assisting with sound design. This experience was a great way to reinforce audio repair techniques. Written and directed by Salvatore Gullotta Jr., this film was the winner of the NATAS Boston/New England Student Awards for Long Form Fiction (Writer, and Director) and was awarded gold by the Connecticut Art Director Club for Student Video.

Amare Terram
This project was a student animated short revolving around elemental deities. Employed as the sound designer, foley artist, and dialogue mixer for this film, I was in continuous communication with the director. We went through several iterations of the cut and explored what kind of storytelling could be achieved by through an organic, whimsical soundscape.

American Horror Story Trailer (1/2)
The first trailer in a series of sound design projects that were completed as part of an Audio for Post-Production course in 2022. Here, I began to explore advanced reverb, panning, and pitch modulation techniques to evoke an emotional response.

American Horror Story Trailer (2/2)
The second trailer in a series of sound design projects that were completed in 2022 as part of an Audio for Post-Production course, After familiarizing myself with an extensive library of samples, the design of this trailer progressed very quickly.

Pixel Perfect
Hired as the sound design specialist and dialogue mixer on this short film, I was granted creative liberty within the director’s guidelines. I was tasked with communicating with the hired composer and director to fully realize their visions, which was a new and rewarding experience.
Coraline
This project is a culmination of the techniques I had learned during the Audio for Post Productions course at the University of New Haven: ADR/foley recording and production, layering and manipulating samples, using panning and reverb to create a soundscape, and audio cleanup.

Jazz Kitchen
For this assignment, I spotted, edited, and assembled sound effects for this history segment of Jazz Kitchen. As I became more comfortable using Pro Tools’ “Memory Locations,” my workflow became increasingly more streamlined.

Nothing For Something
I recorded clothing movement, my own footsteps, and a variety of props to create the soundscape for this clip. This assignment allowed me to sharpen my skills as a foley artist and record some fun props in the kitchen!
